Servicing Steps
Seiko watches are designed to be accurate and reliable. Like any sensitive precision instrument, a watch will need periodic servicing to ensure that it functions correctly.
The bracelet or strap is removed from the case.
The case is opened, and the crown, pushers and glass are removed. The movement is then taken out.
Once the movement parts are cleaned, they are re-assembled and delicately lubricated.

The case and bracelet are cleaned in an ultrasonic tank.
The case is serviced by replacement of all gaskets and silicone grease is applied.
The completed watch is then tested for timing, power reserve and water resistance.
The watch is subjected to a stringent 50-point quality control check which tests all functions of the watch, and its condition.
